Dysautonomias

Pancreatic enzymes have traditionally been used to re-establish normal digestive function and alleviate gastrointestinal complaints such as constipation or steatorrhea.  Recent clinical research has begun to expand the link between digestive function and diseases outside of pancreatic disorders and cystic fibrosis into areas not traditionally thought to involve the digestive system. Curemark has seen early indications of the potential for using pancreatic enzymes to treat the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. Other additional disorders Curemark intends to investigate using its bioassay and enzyme replacement therapy approach include diabetic neuropathy as well as disorders of the autonomic nervous system collectively referred to as dysautonomia.  These disease targets provide Curemark with a promising pipeline for future development.
